Background of B.A.D Young Cannes

Bangkok Art Directors’ Association (B.A.D) offers creative young bloods the chance to compete in Young Lions Competition at Cannes every year.

For the 17th year, B.A.D will send young creatives to participate in the Young Lions Competition at Cannes, where participants need to be professionals working in creative communications/ advertising/digital agencies. Young creatives will have the opportunity to sharpen their talents as well as compete for a place in the Young Lions Print Competition or Young Lions Digital Competition at Cannes 2019

Objectives of Young Cannes Competition

• To train and sharpen young creative minds to develop effective concepts
• To support and stimulate new Thai creative young bloods
• To help the Thai advertising industry compete in a global market
• To select and provide exposure for the most talented young Thai creative team, who will represent Thailand in the Young Lions Print Competition or Young Lions Digital Competition at Cannes 2019
• To encourage Thai creatives to strengthen team relationships

ELIGIBILITY

• All Young Cannes taking part in the creative competitions must be 30 years of age or younger, born on or after 22 June 1988.
• All the rest of the contestants (Print, Digital) need to be professionals working in creative communications/
  advertising/digital agencies.
• Freelancers are also eligible to compete in this competition.
• Students are not eligible to compete in the Young Lions Competitions.

QUALIFICATION

• Participants may register as a Team (of two creative professionals with English Speaking and Writing Skills) to help strengthen a partnership.
• Participants must be 30 years of age or younger with a few years’ experience in developing creative work. For Young Cannes Competition: must be born on or after 22 June 1988 (Proof of Date of Birth must be provided)
• Team membership cannot be changed after registration.

REWARDS

There are 2 prizes available to be won by 2 Teams in each of the 2 categories, consisting of:

• The chance to represent Creative from THAILAND at the 2019 Cannes International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France in the Young Lions Competition from Monday 17 - Friday 21 June, 2019.
• Full-week Young Lions registration passes to the Festival.
• Round-trip economy airfare for two team from Bangkok-France –Bangkok
• Ground transportation from airport-hotel-airport
• 7 nights accommodation (double-occupancy in a standard room) in Cannes, France during the Festival.
• Visa fee and miscellaneous

• 50,000 Baht per Team
